Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior confirms that Cole Palmer is content at Stamford Bridge and criticized those trying to create unrest within the team.
There have been reports suggesting Palmer may be interested in transferring to Manchester United to return to the north west. He joined Chelsea from Manchester City in a £40 million deal in 2023.
Ahead of Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League match against Napoli, Rosenior stated there is “nothing” to the rumors about the England international’s future.
Cole Palmer ‘happy’ at Chelsea amid Man Utd transfer talks
When asked if Palmer is ‘untouchable’ and satisfied at Chelsea, he replied: “Yes and yes. It’s simple.”
“Cole is a fantastic player, just like [Moises Caicedo] and many others in our squad.
“I’m not surprised by this timing. A new manager arrives, and suddenly people are trying to create unrest. It’s not true.
“Cole is here, very happy, and I look forward to seeing him on the pitch.”
“There’s no need for reassurances from Chelsea’s management. It’s unrealistic. This speculation has come from nowhere, and there’s nothing to it. No reason for any discussion, that’s my view.
“Cole is very happy. We’ve had many discussions about improving the team and how he can develop, because he enjoys being here and wants to stay at Chelsea.
“You can’t avoid speculation, but some claims are so far from the truth that it’s pointless to discuss them.”
