According to Antena 2, Atlético Nacional moved into the Copa BetPlay quarterfinals after a 2-2 draw with Deportes Quindío in Armenia, winning 4-0 on aggregate. However, the result was overshadowed by violent incidents targeting the team before the match at Estadio Centenario.

While traveling from their hotel to the stadium, the team’s bus was attacked. This was not the first occurrence; in the previous round, the bus was also assaulted during their visit to Cúcuta, although there were no injuries reported in either incident.

The situation worsened outside the stadium, where violent clashes took place between Nacional and Quindío supporters. Police had to step in after confrontations involving stones and machetes broke out near the entrance.

So far, Dimayor has not issued an official statement regarding these incidents. Coach Gandolfi expressed mixed feelings about the evening, stating that Nacional’s performance was the worst since he took over, even as the team advanced amid an atmosphere of insecurity. The ongoing violence surrounding Nacional’s matches continues to raise concerns in Colombian football.
