Colombia started their CONMEBOL Qualifiers on a strong note but has recently struggled, falling to sixth place in the standings. This drop puts their direct spot for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in jeopardy. Now, they must win today’s match against Bolivia, who also needs a victory to boost their chances of qualifying.

Although not a top team in CONMEBOL, Bolivia still has a chance in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. A recent loss to Venezuela, however, has made their path to qualification tougher. They now need to win both upcoming matches and hope that La Vinotinto doesn’t win their next two games, as direct qualification is no longer a possibility.

Colombia has a slightly better chance at qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. After several draws in their past games, James Rodriguez’s team approaches the game against Bolivia needing a win, which would secure their direct qualification. They could also qualify with a draw if Venezuela loses to Argentina.

Colombia predicted lineup vs Bolivia

Colombia will face Bolivia without two key players: Daniel Muñoz and Kevin Castaño, who are suspended due to yellow card accumulations. Yet, head coach Nestor Lorenzo believes in the remaining players’ ability to secure a direct qualification. The experienced Dayro Moreno, 39, who is Colombia’s all-time leading scorer, is also included.

Colombia’s expected lineup may include: Camilo Vargas; Santiago Arias, Yerry Mina, Jhon Lucumi, Johan Mojica; Jefferson Lerma, Richard Rios; Jhon Arias, James Rodriguez, Luis Diaz; Jhon Cordoba.

Bolivia predicted lineup vs Colombia

Bolivia comes into the match without Luis Chavez, who is suspended after receiving a red card in the last game. Despite this, head coach Oscar Villegas might keep a similar lineup to the one that won against Chile. Miguel Terceros could lead La Verde’s attack in their effort to secure three vital points for their World Cup hopes.

Bolivia’s expected lineup may be: Carlos Lampe; Diego Medina, Efrain Morales, Diego Arroyo, Roberto Fernandez; Ervin Vaca, Robson Matheus, Gabriel Villamil; Miguel Terceros, Carmelo Algarañaz, Moises Paniagua.
