Colombia faces France in the third-place match at the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2025. Colombia aims to replicate their 2003 achievement when they claimed third place, while France—who won in 2013—is looking for their first bronze finish.
Cesar Torres’ team nearly reached their first final, losing 1-0 to Argentina after Mateo Silvetti scored in the 71st minute. This marks only the second time Colombia has played in a third-place match in U-20 World Cup history.
On the other hand, Bernard Diomede’s squad also missed out on the final. They drew 1-1 with Morocco in regular time but lost 5-4 in the penalty shootout. This will be France’s second appearance in a third-place playoff, having previously lost to Mexico in 2011.
