The player is looking for new opportunities.
Midfielder Dele Alli attempted to jumpstart his career with Italian club Como, but things did not go as planned.
Details: Como has announced the end of Alli’s contract as he was not included in head coach Cesc Fàbregas’ future strategy. Both parties agreed it was best to separate.
Since the contract ended during the transfer window, Alli is now available to join any team as a free agent, even after the window closes. There are also rumors that he may consider retirement.
Quote: “Dele wants more playing time, and with him not fitting into the club’s immediate plans, it was sensible for both sides to part ways before the transfer window closed. The club appreciates Dele’s contribution at Como and wishes him success in the future,” said the Como statement.
Reminder: While at Como, the 29-year-old midfielder played only nine minutes, coming on as a substitute against Milan before receiving a red card. Following that, he was completely removed from Fàbregas’ lineup.
