Como officially announces the arrival of Alvaro Morata

In this summer’s transfer window, Como officially announced the arrival of Álvaro Morata from fellow Serie A club AC Milan on loan.

According to the club’s official website, Como signed Morata on Wednesday on a one-year loan with an obligation to make the move permanent at the end of the 2025/26 season.

Coach Cesc Fàbregas welcomed the Spanish striker to his team, saying that he has known Morata for a long time and knows how to get the best out of him.

“He’s a clever striker who always delivers in the big moments, and he lifts everyone around him. We’re very happy to have him at Como,” Fabregas said.

Meanwhile, Morata said he was very happy to join Como and was ready to contribute positively to his new team.

‘When I played against them last year, I was able to appreciate the team and their project. You could see how ambitious they are. I promise the fans and the club that I will give 200 per cent in every training session and every match. I can’t wait to wear this shirt,” he said.

According to a report by Football Italia on Wednesday, Como must pay 10 million euros (approximately Rp. 189 billion) to make Morata’s move permanent at the end of this season.

Morata’s arrival will certainly strengthen Como’s front line, following the departure of attackers such as Patrick Cutrone and Assane Diao.

Furthermore, Como will benefit from the 32-year-old’s experience, given that he has played in Europe’s top leagues for teams such as Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, Atlético Madrid, AC Milan and Galatasaray.
