Como Stands Firm, Rejects €40 Million Tottenham Bid for Starlet Nico Paz

Italian club Como has turned down a significant €40 million offer from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur for their 20-year-old Argentine sensation, Nico Paz. The Serie A newcomers are holding out for a much higher fee, reportedly valuing the creative midfielder at a hefty €70 million.

This bold stance underscores Paz’s importance to Como’s project under the management of Cesc Fabregas. The young playmaker, who was instrumental in Como’s promotion campaign, has also expressed his desire to continue his development in Italy for at least one more season. This mutual commitment has seemingly strengthened Como’s resolve to retain their prized asset.

The situation is further complicated by the presence of a buy-back clause held by Paz’s former club, Real Madrid. While Los Blancos reportedly opted not to activate their option to re-sign Paz for a lower fee this summer, they continue to monitor his progress closely. This lingering interest from the Spanish giants, coupled with Tottenham’s clear ambition, has created a high-stakes transfer saga around the gifted midfielder. For now, Como remains in a strong negotiating position, confident in both their valuation and the player’s immediate loyalty.
