Napoli head coach Antonio Conte has stirred speculation about his future with a recent statement regarding a potential role with the national team.
Details: In an interview, the Italian coach mentioned that if he were the president of the Italian Football Federation, he would certainly consider himself a candidate for managing the Azzurri. Conte highlighted his familiarity with the Nazionale, noting his experience and understanding of the team’s inner workings.

Even with his interest in returning to international management, Conte reminded journalists of his current obligations to Napoli. He stressed that any decisions regarding his future will be made thoughtfully, only after the season wraps up.
“You know my contract situation. I’ll meet with my president at the end of the season and then we’ll see,” Antonio added, keeping options open for his career path.
Conte previously managed the Italy national team from 2014 to 2016, guiding them to the Round of 16 at Euro 2016.
Reminder: There have been updates on whether Bastoni’s underwhelming performances for Italy influenced his transfer to Barcelona.
