Coach Antonio Conte reportedly wants to bring Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic to Napoli in the upcoming summer transfer market.
As quoted by Football Italia, Saturday, Conte still wants to bring Milinkovic-Savic even though he is getting closer to extending the contract of another goalkeeper, Alex Meret.
Conte’s decision is believed to have been made to strengthen the depth of Napoli’s squad, which will be competing in European competition again next season.
Aside from Milinkovic-Savic, Napoli are expected to be very busy in the upcoming transfer market to bring in several new players.
According to several Italian media reports, Napoli are looking to bring in several players from big teams, such as Federico Gatti from Juventus.
Next up is Sam Beukeuma from Bologna, and Napoli are closing in on Luca Marianucci from Empoli to strengthen their backline.
In attack, Napoli are also targeting Feyenoord’s Igor Paixao, Lille’s Edon Zhegrova and Udine’s Lorenzo Lucca.
Napoli are currently second in the Italian league standings with 61 points from 29 games and still have a chance to win the title.
The Partenopei are now three points behind leaders Inter Milan, but are getting closer to their goal of playing in next season’s Champions League.
