Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is close to making his comeback following an injury. According to The Athletic, he is expected to be fit in time for the first legs of the Champions League semi-finals.
The 33-year-old Belgian is aiming to return by the end of April, precisely when the semi-final matches are scheduled for April 28-29. In the first leg of the quarter-finals, Real Madrid suffered a 1-2 defeat at home against Bayern Munich. The return leg is slated for April 15.
Courtois sustained his injury on March 17 during the round of 16 match against Manchester City. He was substituted in the second half by Andriy Lunin, who has since taken over as the starting goalkeeper for Los Blancos.
