Benjamín Cremaschi’s exit surprised many just before the 2025 Leagues Cup final, leaving Inter Miami without a key young player, as reported by Infobae. The 20-year-old midfielder has signed a season-long loan to Parma in Serie A, with an option to buy for €4.5 million, according to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio. This agreement was reached mere hours before Miami’s crucial match against the Seattle Sounders, causing an unexpected distraction for the team.

The deal includes medical tests in the United States before Cremaschi heads to Emilia-Romagna. Parma chose him after missing out on Gio Reyna, seeing Cremaschi as a versatile and promising option. His signing comes after an unimpressive Serie A start, where the club drew with Atalanta and lost to Juventus in their first two games.

Cremaschi has played 105 matches for Inter Miami, scoring 8 goals and assisting 9 times. He featured in 55 matches alongside Lionel Messi, forming a strong midfield partnership. As a product of Miami’s academy, he grew into a dependable player, gaining experience alongside veterans like Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Luis Suárez.

However, his departure was also influenced by internal issues. Recently, Cremaschi expressed frustration over limited playing time and frequent changes in position. “It makes me angry, I want to play. I’ve played little lately, and I don’t think it’s because of my level since I feel good,” he stated. Coach Javier Mascherano publicly addressed his comments, calling them “unfortunate” and defending the team’s strategy.

For Inter Miami, losing Cremaschi is a setback and a missed chance to further develop a homegrown talent. For Parma, it is a calculated risk on a young midfielder eager to make his mark in European football.
