The Columbus Crew will seek their first win of the season as they face Atlanta United on Saturday evening.

After starting the season with a 3-2 loss to the Portland Timbers and two draws, the Crew (0-3-2, 2 points) are currently on a two-match losing streak. They are among the teams with the fewest goals scored, tied with Atlanta and five others at five goals.

Despite no victories so far in 2026, head coach Henrik Rydstrom has noted some positive signs from the team.

“Winning is important, and it’s disappointing not to win,” the first-year coach said. “But if you focus too much on that, you can lose sight of the bigger picture. I try to maintain that balance for the players and emphasize the process.”

Atlanta United (1-3-1, 4 points) is also having a tough time. They managed a 0-0 draw against D.C. United on March 21, following a 3-1 victory over the Philadelphia Union.

There are improvements in Atlanta, but those have not yet led to more wins.

“We’ve seen growth from the first to the fifth game. However, we haven’t secured the results to reflect that,” Atlanta head coach Tata Martino said. “I am not suggesting we deserve more points, but we could potentially have more.”

Matias Galarza (visa) will not play for Atlanta, and Sergio Santos (calf) is questionable.

For Columbus, Mo Farsi (sports hernia) has faced a setback in recovery and will be out on Saturday. He has not played since July 6, 2025.
