Cristiano Ronaldo makes history with 100 goals in 4 different nations | Football News

Cristiano Ronaldo added another historic milestone to his legendary career on Saturday, becoming the first footballer to score 100 goals in four different countries. The 40-year-old Portuguese star struck in the Saudi Super Cup final, where Al Nassr faced Al Ahli at Hong Kong Stadium.

Ronaldo’s goal came in the first half as he calmly converted a penalty to put Al Nassr ahead. The strike took his tally with the Saudi side to 99 goals in just 111 appearances across all competitions since joining the club in 2023.

Over his illustrious career, Ronaldo has now scored 450 goals for Real Madrid, 145 for Manchester United, 101 for Juventus, and 138 for Portugal. Sporting Lisbon, the club where he started, remains the only team where he did not hit the 100-goal mark.

This Saudi Super Cup final was historic in itself, being the first ever played outside the Middle East. The Hong Kong crowd created an electrifying atmosphere as thousands turned up to witness Ronaldo in action.

The Portuguese icon also made an impact in the semifinal, providing an assist to Joao Felix, who netted the decisive winner against Saudi Pro League champions Al Ittihad.

Reactions poured in after Ronaldo’s latest achievement. One fan wrote, “That’s why he’s the GOAT 🐐.” Another commented, “He keeps breaking his own records.”

Despite being over 40, Ronaldo continues to prove that age is just a number. His career includes five Ballon d’Or titles, Champions League glory, Premier League wins with Manchester United, La Liga success with Real Madrid, and a European Championship triumph with Portugal.

From Sporting Lisbon’s academy to the grandest football stages, Ronaldo’s journey remains one of the greatest stories in sports. And with this new record, he has once again underlined why he is regarded as one of the best players in history.
