The greatest! Cristiano Ronaldo becomes football's first billionaire
A unique achievement for a footballer.
The first in history!
Details: As reported by Bloomberg, Cristiano Ronaldo, the 40-year-old forward for Al Nassr and the Portugal national team, has become the first footballer to reach billionaire status.
“His fortune is currently $1.4 billion. He is the first footballer on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index,” the report stated.
The key factors for this achievement include his recent contract with Al Nassr, which gave him a 15% share in the club. Additionally, due to Saudi Arabian tax regulations, Ronaldo does not pay income tax.
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in 2023 as a free agent after leaving Manchester United. He has since played 111 matches for the club, scoring 98 goals and making 20 assists.
In June of this year, he signed a new contract with Al Nassr, which will earn him about 400 million euros annually and include the 15% club stake. This deal extends until 2027.
