Cristiano Ronaldo Faces Absurd Suspension After Controversial Incident

Cristiano Ronaldo can breathe a sigh of relief as he continues his pursuit of 1,000 career goals while playing for Al-Nassr. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is also making headlines with the Portuguese national team. Despite facing criticism, he remains a prolific scorer. However, during the last match against Ireland, Ronaldo received a yellow card for elbowing Dara O’Shea in the penalty area, followed by a red card after a VAR review.

As a result, Portugal held its breath, fearing that their star would miss the opening matches of the World Cup. Fortunately, the outcome was not as dire as anticipated: Ronaldo is suspended for only one match, with two more pending, as reported by EFE and several other sources in Portugal. This means he will be eligible to play in the entire group stage of the World Cup in the United States, missing only the match against Armenia.
