Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals, leading Al Nassr to a crucial victory over Al Fayha in the Saudi Pro League. This win helped Al Nassr keep its top position in the league. After the match, Ronaldo shared an important message with his teammates about their goals for the season.
Receiving the Player of the Match award, Ronaldo emphasized that team success is more important than individual recognition and expressed his aim to win more trophies.
“It’s always great to score goals, and I’m happy to help the team win, but the most important thing is that we won. Individual awards don’t matter. I want to win the league,” Ronaldo said during his post-match interview.
Ronaldo is eager to end his trophy drought since arriving in Saudi Arabia, where he has not won any official titles with Al Nassr. He has faced defeats in three official finals, including one against Al Hilal in the 2023-24 King’s Cup and two losses in the Saudi Super Cup to Al Hilal and Al Ahli.
The only title Ronaldo has won with Al Nassr is the Arab Club Champions Cup, where he scored two goals to secure a 2-1 victory over Al Hilal. However, this title is not recognized by the AFC or FIFA, classifying it as an exhibition trophy.
