Cristiano Ronaldo teams up with Hollywood star for ambitious project

Apart from being one of the biggest soccer stars in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his savvy business moves. In his latest, he has joined a renowned Hollywood filmmaker for an interesting project.

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo is known for being one of the greatest soccer players ever, but he has recently expanded his influence off the pitch with several projects. The latest is a joint venture film studio with renowned Hollywood filmmaker Matthew Vaughn.

UR•Marv will operate as an independent studio that aims to embrace “innovative technology, with a nod to tradition.” In their statement, Ronaldo and Vaughn announced that they have already financed two completed action films and are developing a third.

“This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look ahead to new ventures in business,” Ronaldo said. Meanwhile, Vaughn called the Al Nassr forward a “real-life superhero” and said he looks forward to “creating inspiring movies with him.”

Vaughn is known for his stylish action films such as Layer Cake (2004), Kick-Ass (2010), X-Men: First Class (2011), and, of course, the Kingsman franchise. His latest movie was Argylle, a spy thriller starring Henry Cavill and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Ronaldo keeps expanding his businesses

While Ronaldo has made a fortune playing Al Nassr, Manchester United and Real Madrid, he has also established a strong media presence. He is a key investor in Medialivre (formerly Cofina Media), a leading Portuguese media conglomerate that owns prominent outlets such as Correio da Manha and Record.

Last year, he also launched his YouTube channel, where he offers intimate glimpses into his glamorous life and collaborates with other creators, such as MrBeast and former colleagues like Rio Ferdinand.

With his latest venture into Hollywood, Ronaldo follows in the footsteps of other sports giants, such as Lionel Messi and Tom Brady, who have also started production companies. In Messi’s case, he partnered with Smuggler Entertainment, which has already launched his documentaries with Apple TV+.
