Just a little more patience.
San Siro, once a famous stadium, is facing challenges. It is still home to both Milan and Inter, but its state needs improvement. However, there may be hope for its future.
Details: Milan’s mayor, Giuseppe Marotta, recently announced an agreement to transfer ownership of San Siro and the surrounding land to the city’s top clubs. This deal still needs approval from the city council, which will meet soon to discuss it, as stated on their official website.
Council chair Elena Buscemi has organized two meetings next week to look into the potential sale of San Siro. The first meeting will take place on Thursday, September 25, at Palazzo Marino to go over the Serie A clubs’ stadium plans. The council members will vote on the proposal on Monday, September 29.
Reminder: Due to its deteriorating condition, San Siro will not host the 2027 Champions League final.
