Matheus Cunha views Manchester United‘s 1-1 draw at Leeds as a ‘good point’ after a tough match at Elland Road.
Cunha scored in the second half to help Manchester United equalize just three minutes after Brendan Aaronson’s goal for Leeds.
This match between the two rivals was exciting, with both teams fighting hard but struggling to create clear chances.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin nearly scored in the first half with a header that hit the post, while Leny Yoro forced a great save from Lucas Perri in the Leeds goal.
Aaronson’s goal initially put Manchester United in a tough position, but a quick adjustment from Ruben Amorim brought the game back to level terms. Substitute Joshua Zirkzee assisted Cunha, who finished past Perri.
Neither team managed to score again, and both settled for a point, which Cunha regarded as a positive outcome.
“After the game against Wolves, we felt a bit down. We want to win every match and have a chance to get into the top four,” Cunha told TNT Sports. “It’s important to keep pushing. Coming here isn’t easy; we know how significant this match is. A point here is good.”
“It was quite challenging. We know what to expect, and they try hard to win. It’s physical, and every time we wear this shirt, we must give our all, just like today.”
