This morning, the Juventus board, led by Gianluca Ferrero, officially appointed Damien Comolli as the new Chief Executive Officer. Comolli, who previously served as president of Toulouse, takes over from Maurizio Scanavino, whose term ended on November 7. This change removes the separate role of General Director, with Comolli receiving administrative powers in line with the previous structure.
Having arrived in Turin last summer after spending five years at Toulouse, Comolli’s primary goal will be to strengthen Juventus’ sports management. He will work with Giorgio Chiellini and Frédéric Modesto to appoint a new sports director to complete the organization. Marco Ottolini, the former sports director of Genoa and a past member of Juventus’ recruitment team, is the leading candidate for this position.
