Roberto De Zerbi is interested in managing Tottenham Hotspur instead of Manchester United next season if both clubs approach him for their open positions.
De Zerbi recently left Marseille by mutual agreement and is being linked with a return to the Premier League.
He has emerged as a potential candidate for both Manchester United and Tottenham, who are currently managed by interim coaches.
According to Sky Sports, De Zerbi favors Tottenham over Manchester United, as long as Spurs avoid relegation this season.
Tottenham is four points above the relegation zone and has appointed Igor Tudor as their caretaker coach for the remainder of the season.
During his time in the Premier League with Brighton, De Zerbi achieved European qualification for the first time in the club’s history, finishing in the top seven last season.
His attacking style of play would likely attract Spurs supporters, especially after their frustrations with Thomas Frank’s more cautious approach.
Frank was dismissed earlier this month after securing only two wins in 17 Premier League matches. He had taken over from Brentford last summer.
