A significant deal in the summer transfer window has fallen through.

Details: Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson will not be moving to Bayern Munich on loan, according to David Ornstein.

Earlier today, Jackson arrived in Munich for a medical to complete the transfer. Photos had circulated online showing him on the flight, and Fabrizio Romano had also announced it with his well-known “Here we go” phrase.

However, Chelsea quickly instructed Jackson to return to London, as the transfer has been cancelled. This decision came after forward Liam Delap was injured during Chelsea’s match against Fulham (2-0).

Bayern now has just two days to find a new striker. The club previously missed out on signing Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart, who officially went to Newcastle yesterday.

Reminder: Enzo Fernandez scored in today’s match against Fulham following a disputed penalty.
