The Houston Dynamo announced on Tuesday that they have signed Brazilian winger Guilherme.
The 30-year-old joins from Santos FC, a team in Brazil’s Serie A, for an estimated transfer fee of $2.1 million.
He will take up a Designated Player position and is signed until 2027-28, with an option for 2028-29.
Since 2016, Guilherme has scored 95 goals and provided 44 assists in 492 matches, playing in Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
“Guilherme is a strong leader and competitor, known for his success at top clubs in South America,” said Pat Onstad, president of soccer for the Dynamo. “His attacking skills and experience in various competitive scenarios will enhance our team as we aim for success in 2026 and beyond.”

At Santos, Guilherme scored 27 goals and provided 20 assists in 94 appearances, earning the 2025 Campeonato Paulista Golden Boot with 10 goals.
The Dynamo will kick off the 2026 MLS season at home against the Chicago Fire on February 21.
