Eddie Howe believes in Anthony Elanga, despite Newcastle United’s recent loss to Sunderland.
Elanga’s performance in that match did not meet expectations.
He played on the right side of a front trio with Anthony Gordon and Nick Woltemade.
It’s challenging to blame just one player after that game. The wingers were underwhelming, and the striker unintentionally scored an own goal.
The entire team faced difficulties, resulting in another defeat in the Tyne-Wear derby for Newcastle.
However, this match was not the only issue. Since moving from Nottingham Forest, Elanga has had limited impact, with just one assist so far. Nonetheless, Howe remains optimistic about his potential.
