Edinson Cavani has retired from football at 38 years old.

The former striker for Napoli, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United has ended a notable career, recognized as one of the leading scorers of his time.

Cavani shared his decision on social media, stating that he had achieved his childhood dreams in professional football.

“THANK YOU VERY MUCH, FOOTBALL!!!” he expressed.

“You shaped me, challenged me, and taught me resilience. You helped me achieve dreams that once felt impossible and allowed me to meet wonderful people on and off the pitch.

“This journey wouldn’t have been possible without my family, friends, teammates, coaches, and, most importantly, the supporters. The love from fans in every country and club will remain with me forever.
