Liverpool loses their first-choice goalkeeper.
There are some changes in the Reds’ camp.
Details: Ahead of the match against Chelsea, Arne Slot has announced that main goalkeeper Alisson will be sidelined for a longer period than initially thought.
“Ekitike and Chiesa will be back in training today… Alisson will be out for some time. I’d be surprised if Alisson’s ready for the first game after the international break,” said the Liverpool boss.
Alisson sustained an injury during the Champions League game against Galatasaray, which the Reds lost. Initially, it was expected that he would recover in about three weeks, but it now appears his recovery will take more than a month.
On a positive note, Slot mentioned that Hugo Ekitike and Federico Chiesa have returned to training and are likely to be available for the upcoming match at Stamford Bridge.
Tomorrow, Liverpool will head to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea in the seventh round of the English Premier League.
Reminder: “I think Liverpool played very poorly” – Rooney criticizes Slot for his tactical changes at Liverpool.
