Elliot Anderson is set to join Manchester City from Nottingham Forest in the summer.

Journalist Graeme Bailey has reported that Anderson’s move to Manchester is nearly finalized, regardless of Nottingham Forest’s current position.

Anderson scored in Forest’s 2-2 draw against Manchester City on Wednesday, helping the club’s chances of staying in the Premier League, as they sit 17th in the table, just outside the bottom three due to goal difference.

Reports suggest that next season, Anderson may be seen in a City kit, with Bailey indicating that “numerous sources” have confirmed the transfer as a done deal, even though no official agreements have been signed yet.

“I have to be honest, for several weeks now, from numerous sources, I am told that Elliot Anderson to City is a done deal,” Bailey mentioned.

“Although City and Forest haven’t announced anything, it seems Anderson is aware of his future, and it’s likely at the Etihad.”

Anderson has become a key player for both Forest and the England national team. The 23-year-old has earned six caps since his debut last year and is anticipated to play an important role in this summer’s World Cup. Manchester United has also shown interest in the midfielder.
