Senegal has fallen two spots in the FIFA rankings.
Following the March 2026 international break, FIFA updated its list of men’s national teams. Senegal, previously named African champions, was later disqualified from the title in favor of Morocco. Despite winning against Peru and Gambia in March 2026, Senegal has dropped from 12th to 14th place.
Still, the Senegalese team holds the second position in Africa, trailing Morocco, which was awarded the 2025 African Championship title on March 17 by the Appeals Committee of the Confederation of African Football.
