Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández will miss the upcoming Argentina national team match against Puerto Rico.
Details: The national football federation reported that he has been diagnosed with inflammation in his right knee joint.
The 24-year-old played most of the friendly match against Venezuela, which Argentina won 1-0 in Florida. After the game, Fernández felt discomfort and underwent a medical check-up.
He is the latest Chelsea midfielder to face an injury, joining Cole Palmer, Dario Essugo, and Andrey Santos, who have also been sidelined.
This season, Fernández has made ten appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
Reminder: Franco Mastantuono also left the Argentina squad due to injury earlier.
