Recent rumors on social media about Eric Abidal’s death have been denied by the former footballer himself.
Abidal confirmed that he is healthy and doing well.
Details: Today, various posts appeared on the social network X stating that the 46-year-old former Barcelona and France player had died after a prolonged battle with cancer.
However, Abidal denied these claims, stating: “Some rumors should not exist.”
“I am here with my family, and everything is fine. Respect is necessary. Behind this are my family and my children. To be honest, I am doing well, I am alive and healthy. Thank you for your support and messages of concern. Let’s focus on what truly matters,” Abidal wrote on his Instagram page.
Abidal has battled cancer in the past, but he overcame the illness in 2011 and continued his professional football career afterward.
