The football community is bidding farewell to a true icon as Seamus Coleman announces he will leave Everton at the end of the current season. The news was shared today on the club’s official page on social media platform X, marking the conclusion of the 37-year-old right-back’s illustrious career with the Toffees.

Coleman has been a steadfast presence at Everton for over 17 years, making his debut for the club in 2009 after transferring from Sligo Rovers for a mere €70,000. During his time with the club, he achieved remarkable milestones, amassing 433 appearances, scoring 28 goals, and providing 29 assists, solidifying his status as one of Everton’s greatest players.

As he prepares for the next chapter, Coleman has been offered a position within Everton’s structure as a youth team coach. However, he may also consider options to continue his playing career with another club.
