Everton is planning to make a £30m offer for Chelsea forward Liam Delap this summer.
Delap has had a tough first season at Stamford Bridge after joining for £30m from Ipswich Town. The 23-year-old has started just nine Premier League matches and found the net only once during his time in West London.
Chelsea is reportedly reviewing his future, considering both permanent and loan options. Everton, who showed interest in Delap before his Chelsea transfer, have placed him at the top of their list for forwards.
TEAMtalk states that Everton aims to submit a £30m bid for Delap at the season’s end, hoping Chelsea will accept the offer to recover their investment.
The team is looking for a dependable goalscorer, especially after Thierno Barry and Beto’s lackluster performances this season. Those two have only managed eight Premier League goals combined, with no Everton player scoring more than five.
Only Wolves, Sunderland, and Nottingham Forest have scored fewer goals than Everton this season.
Everton hopes Delap can replicate the success of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who moved from Chelsea to Merseyside last summer.
The 27-year-old has excelled with regular playing time at Hill Dickinson Stadium, having struggled to secure a consistent spot in the capital.
