The Normandy League announced on Monday the decision regarding Évreux’s abandonment of their match against ASPTT Caen on October 25 during the 6th round of the Coupe de France. To recap, the Norman club declared a forfeit at halftime after conceding four goals, receiving two player expulsions, along with the coach’s dismissal, all within 45 minutes. Incidents also occurred in the stands.
In response, the Normandy League fined Évreux (Regional 1) an amount of €60. The official report states that “the commission only addressed the urgent need for a sporting decision to allow the normal continuation of the competition, and that the regional disciplinary committee retains the authority to impose additional disciplinary measures as needed.”
