Emmanuel Adebayor believes Viktor Gyokeres needs to score another 10-12 Premier League goals for Arsenal to secure the title this season.
Gyokeres joined Arsenal from Sporting Lisbon for £54 million and has found the net 15 times in 36 matches across all competitions. He reached 10 league goals after scoring two in the North London Derby against Tottenham.
After a slow start, Gyokeres has begun to show his best form since the year began. His eight goals in all competitions for 2026 make him the top scorer among Premier League players this year.
However, Adebayor has stressed that Gyokeres must nearly double his league tally if Arsenal aims to outpace Manchester City for the title.
Arsenal currently leads City by five points but has played one game more. Mikel Arteta’s squad is looking to end a 22-year wait for a Premier League title.

“This is the time we need a striker who can bring the league to the club. He needs to score at least 10 more goals for Arsenal to win the league,” Adebayor told Premier League Productions.
“You can’t win the league with your top striker scoring just 10-12 goals.”
