A former player for Manchester City and Atletico has been arrested in the Netherlands for tax fraud.
Details: According to The Sun, Kiki Musampa was taken into custody by Dutch police on charges of tax fraud. Authorities claim that the ex-footballer illegally earned over €100,000 by presenting himself as a tax resident in another country while earning income in the Netherlands.
On September 10, police searched Musampa’s home, where they confiscated financial documents and a collection of luxury watches. His 65-year-old accountant was also arrested. Both were released the next day, but the investigation continues.
Musampa has a history of tax problems; he recently lost property in Amsterdam due to similar issues.
Throughout his career, the footballer played for clubs such as Manchester City, Atletico, Ajax, Malaga, and Bordeaux.
