Manchester United has made significant changes under Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS, impacting both business and football operations.
Many staff members have been let go or left, leading to a much leaner structure in various departments.
INEOS claims these decisions aim to enhance the club’s future and increase investment in player squads.
This summer, the men’s first team added four new players: Benjamin Sesko, Senne Lammens, Bryan Mbeumo, and Matheus Cunha.
On the women’s side, Julia Zigiotti Olme, Fridolina Rolfo, and Jess Park made impressive transitions from Manchester City.
Under Marc Skinner, the team is currently in fourth place in the Women’s Super League, indicating the need for further support.
We have news of two new signings that are now official.
Manchester United Women have finalized deals for Hanna Lundkvist and Lea Schuller.
Lundkvist visited Carrington today and is joining from the San Diego Wave on a free transfer.
The 23-year-old Swedish right-back is set to sign her contract soon, along with fulfilling media obligations.
Although she was linked with Paris Saint-Germain, it appears Manchester United has successfully acquired her.
Lea Schuller is also expected to undergo her medical shortly, with an agreement reached with Bayern Munich as her contract ends this summer.
With 103 goals in 179 matches and eight goal contributions in her last five league games, she has made a notable impact in Germany.
Marc Skinner mentioned earlier this week, “We are hopefully close to a couple of players, which I find exciting.
We need to think creatively within our constraints, but we must enhance the squad.
“I want to emphasize that this isn’t about the skill of my players; it’s about building depth for continued success, particularly given the level of competition.
“We have Champions League matches, a challenging game against Spurs, more Champions League matches, and then a quarter-final.
“The competitive level is high.”
