Manchester United Women will face Bayern Munich at Old Trafford tonight in their first Women’s Champions League quarter-final.

Under manager Marc Skinner, the team enters this stage after a strong 5–0 aggregate win against Atlético Madrid. Currently ranked second in the WSL, United aims to leverage their impressive home record of six straight wins to challenge the German champions.

Manchester United Women team news

Skinner’s squad is feeling confident but is missing some key players. Hinata Miyazawa returns after winning the Asian Cup with Japan and could start, adding creativity to a midfield that lacks Ella Toone and Leah Galton.

Jayde Riviere has also come back to training and is available for selection. However, Dominique Janssen will not play due to an injury from the match against West Ham.

Phallon Tullis-Joyce will be the goalkeeper, supported by a defense anchored by Maya Le Tissier and Millie Turner. In midfield, Julia Zigiotti Olme, one of three former Bayern players on the team, will partner with Lisa Naalsund.

Fridolina Rolfö and Jess Park are expected to back striker Lea Schüller, who scored over 100 goals for Bayern before joining United in January, as they try to break through a Bayern defense missing several key players due to ACL injuries.
