Manchester United has announced there will be no new signings this month, but player departures are still possible before the transfer window closes.

Transfer expert Romano addressed the speculation around Mazraoui, clarifying that a move is not expected in the near future.

On his YouTube channel, Romano stated: “Today, we’re receiving many questions about Mazraoui. He is currently focused on the Africa Cup of Nations, so nothing imminent or concrete is happening regarding his transfer.”

“The situation with Zirkzee and Kobbie Mainoo is similar. Manchester United is undergoing a transformation, which is often overlooked. While it’s easy to mention players, negotiating with a club in transition, especially with a new manager soon, is more complicated.”

“With Carrick’s arrival and another manager likely coming in the summer, United aims to keep changes minimal now and make significant adjustments in the summer.”

“Signing Mazraoui, who can play on both the right or left, won’t be straightforward. We’ll keep you updated if Juventus shows interest.”

Why Manchester United should retain Noussair Mazraoui

Concerns over Diogo Dalot’s performance have led many to see Mazraoui as a strong alternative.

As United shifts back to a four-at-the-back formation, he appears to be the best fit for the right-back position. His versatility also allows him to play on the left.

Mazraoui has also been part of the leadership team under Ruben Amorim, making him a key voice within the squad.

United needs to keep a player with his skill and mindset, as he is the type of athlete they should build around, especially with a new manager expected this summer.
