Fabrizio Romano Shuts Down Rumors: No Victor Osimhen to Manchester United Deal Yet

The hot rumor about Victor Osimhen being linked with Manchester United has finally been clarified. Amid wild speculation that the Nigerian striker is almost certain to join the Red Devils, trusted transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has spoken out and denied the news.

Turkish media previously claimed that Osimhen had reached an agreement to join United in the summer of 2025. However, Romano firmly stated that there is no agreement, negotiation or contract signed between Osimhen and Manchester United to date.

In the Market Madness podcast published by GiveMeSport and reported by TeamTalk, Romano explained that Manchester United’s transfer activity is currently still on hold. The reason is the uncertainty of their status in European competition next season.

“Manchester United are still evaluating their summer transfer plans. Whether they will be playing in the Champions League or not will have a big impact on their search for a striker. There is interest in Osimhen, but there is no agreement, negotiations or anything concrete so far,” Romano said.

Despite the uncertainty over his future at Old Trafford, Osimhen remains one of the most sought-after names ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window. The 26-year-old forward has impressed for Galatasaray, scoring 29 goals in 34 games this season. An incredible statistic recorded on the Transfermarkt page .

The winner of the 2023 CAF African Player of the Year title is said to be starting to open up to new challenges in Europe, even though he has started to feel comfortable in Türkiye and is loved by Galatasaray fans.

Several top European clubs such as Chelsea, Arsenal, and Juventus are reportedly monitoring his situation closely. With his brilliant performance and his still mature age, Osimhen is predicted to be one of the hottest transfers in the upcoming summer window.
