A situation that’s both amusing and somewhat unfortunate.

After a recent match, the coach stated the team performed better without Saleng. He claimed that the younger players got better results without him on the field, while Saleng’s presence seemed to impact the team’s performance negatively. These comments led to backlash from fans, who found the coach’s remarks disrespectful and unprofessional.

Today, a statement appeared on one of Orbit College’s pages, referring to Saleng as a valuable player, which seemed to be an apology:

“Dear Fans, Supporters, and the Football Community, “We at Orbit College FC want to address comments made by our coach regarding Monnapule Saleng’s performance. We understand that these remarks, shared last week on social media, have caused concern among our fans and the broader football community. “We sincerely apologize for any distress caused by these comments. Our goal is to maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere for all our players, who represent our club with hard work and pride. Monnapule Saleng is an important part of our team, and we regret any impression that his contributions were undervalued or criticized unfairly. “As a club, we aim to support our players’ growth and well-being both on and off the pitch. We recognize that public statements need to be made carefully to avoid misinterpretation. Going forward, we will ensure better communication and concentrate on unity, respect, and constructive dialogue within our team. “We are in talks with all parties, including Monnapule, to address this internally and keep our shared goals in focus. We appreciate your understanding and ongoing support as we work to strengthen our team and uphold the core values of Orbit College FC. “Thank you for your support, and we look forward to showing our commitment through our actions both on and off the pitch. “Sincerely, Orbit College FC Management”.

Nevertheless, it was later revealed that this statement came from a fake team account. Orbit College officials stated they were unaware of this page and clarified that no apology had been made to Saleng, urging fans to rely only on the club’s official communications.
