Daniel Farke praised Dominic Calvert-Lewin as ‘one of the best strikers in this league’ after the Leeds forward scored for the sixth consecutive Premier League match.

Calvert-Lewin continued his impressive run with a goal, helping Leeds secure a 1-1 draw against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

This result marked Leeds’ fifth unbeaten game in the Premier League, with Calvert-Lewin playing a vital role. The summer signing has now scored in six straight matches, and Farke believes he ranks among the top forwards in the league.

“It’s his job to score goals, and I always back him to be there. I wasn’t surprised by this run because he is one of the best strikers in this league, and he showcases this quality in almost every game.”

Calvert-Lewin reflected on his performance after the match, sharing with BBC Match of the Day that he feels in a goalscoring ‘flow’ right now.

“It’s always a good feeling to score regularly. I’m in a good moment. My timing is on point. As a team, we’re coming together more. Things are going well for us.

“When you’re in flow, you can make those runs as a centre-forward. Sometimes the ball doesn’t find you during a dry spell, but you just have to keep going and hope things change. That’s what is happening for me right now. I’m feeling good, strong, and I’m enjoying playing with the team.”
