Daniel Farke acknowledged that Leeds did not perform at their best during the draw against Manchester United, but he considers the point earned to be a positive result.

In a heated match at Elland Road on Sunday, Leeds managed a 1-1 draw with their rivals. Brenden Aaronson scored first for Leeds shortly after the second half began. However, the visitors equalized just three minutes later with a goal from Matheus Cunha.

Leeds had opportunities to score more, including a header from Dominic Calvert-Lewin that hit the post and a shot from Gabriel Gundmundsson that required a great save from Senne Lammens.

No winner emerged, but Leeds extended their unbeaten streak in the Premier League to seven games, marking their best run in 25 years.

“Playing against Man Utd as a newly-promoted team, it’s always a good point. It wasn’t our best game today; it felt a bit messy. We were missing a few key players and seemed a little tired,” Farke told TNT Sports.

“Still, we found a way to take the lead. I am somewhat disappointed we didn’t get all three points, but looking back, I must admit it’s a fair point.

“Every point counts in extending our lead a bit. We showed resilience in a tough match, though I do wish we could have secured three points.

“We had to stay focused and calm under pressure. With such a tight schedule, it becomes challenging. We kept a clean sheet against Liverpool, and then just two and a half days later, this match was described as the most important in the last three years. Everyone was highly motivated.

“It was crucial to play with intensity and stay balanced. While our football may not have been the best today, it’s still a valuable point.”
