Fenerbahçe recently announced that José Mourinho has left his position as head coach. The club is now looking for a new coach, with several candidates under consideration.
Details: Various sources have reported different potential successors. Matteo Moretto mentioned that Sérgio Conceição, who was let go by Milan last autumn, could take over for Mourinho.
Turkish journalist Ahmet Selim Kul also shared that there are four main candidates for the coaching role—two from abroad and two from Turkey.
The foreign candidates are notable, including Ange Postecoglou, who recently won the Europa League with Tottenham, and Luciano Spalletti, former head coach of Italy. Stuttgart’s manager Sebastian Hoeneß is also being considered.
Reminder: Mourinho’s departure followed Fenerbahçe’s loss to Benfica in the Champions League qualification, marking the club’s second straight failure to qualify for this major competition.
