Fernandinho, who played for Shakhtar Donetsk, Manchester City, and returned to Athletico Paranaense, has announced his retirement from football. At 40 years old, he has been without a club since January 2025.
“I am already tired. I exhausted myself after running for just over 30 minutes today. Nothing motivates me in football anymore; I have achieved a lot in this sport. I enjoyed everything I could. Now, it’s time to enjoy my family,” he stated.
