FIFA will not suspend Israel from competitions
There will be no suspension.
Recently, there were talks about suspending Israel and its clubs from international competitions. FIFA has now made its decision.
Details: According to AFP, FIFA has no intention of suspending the Israeli national team.
Quote: “No measures will be taken against Israel. FIFA cannot resolve geopolitical issues,” said FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
This means that if they do well in the qualifiers, Israel can compete in the World Cup. UEFA also looked into the option of suspending Israel.
However, the commission decided to delay the vote on Israel’s disqualification to allow for a new peace plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
Reminder: Before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Adidas — a key sponsor for the tournament — introduced the new match ball that will be used during the event.
