Despite a lively career, illness took its toll.

Details: Brazilian goalkeeper Anderson Soares da Silva, known as Neneka, has died at 45 from a heart attack, according to Globo.

Reports indicate that Neneka had a heart attack while watching an under-17 match. Since Friday (the 19th), he was in the intensive care unit at Santa Casa de Rondonópolis, located 218 km from Cuiabá.

Neneka played for several clubs during his career, gaining recognition particularly for his time at União Rondonópolis. He also represented teams from other states, including América Mineiro and Figueirense, where he won the Santa Catarina State Championship.

In 2004, he achieved the Série C title with União Barbarense, and in 2015, he won the Série D championship with Botafogo Ribeirão Preto. He concluded his career with União Rondonópolis in 2023.
