Mexico is set to host thirteen matches for the upcoming World Cup from June 11 to July 19, taking place in the stadiums of Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara. The remaining matches will be held in Canada and the United States. In preparation for this event, 65 officers from various police departments in the region underwent specialized training provided by the French Republican Security Companies (CRS), experts in crowd management during large events.
Juan Pablo Hernandez Gonzalez, the Secretary of Security for Jalisco, stated that this preparation aims to equip local forces with the necessary tools to handle complex scenarios, focusing on mediation, dialogue, and tactical control. The training concluded with a simulation of disturbances in a stadium, designed to enhance preventive action capabilities against potential violence or agitators that could threaten public safety.
