The Los Angeles Galaxy are close to signing free agent defensive midfielder Justin Haak, according to reports from The Athletic on Wednesday.
Haak, 24, became a free agent after a successful 2025 season with New York City FC.
He scored one goal and provided four assists in 34 matches last season, all of which he started. In his career with NYCFC, he has two goals and four assists in 81 matches, 57 of which were starts.
The news of Haak’s potential signing follows the Galaxy’s addition of All-Star defender Jakob Glesnes from the Philadelphia Union on December 15.
