Genoa Clinches First Victory of the Season Against Sassuolo

After struggling to win any matches this season in Serie A, Genoa faced Sassuolo on Monday for the 10th round. In a surprising turn, the Genoa club secured their first victory of the season against Fabio Grosso’s team.

Ruslan Malinovskiy scored the opening goal in the 18th minute, but Sassuolo equalized shortly after halftime with a goal from Domenico Berardi (1-1, 47′). Near the end of the match, former Rennes player Léo Ostigard delivered the winning goal for Genoa. With this victory, Genoa moves up to 18th place, while Sassuolo remains in 11th.
