Barcelona have received multiple transfer offers for defender Gerard Martín, including a bid of over €15 million from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to Spanish outlet Sport.
While the club had earlier shown some openness to considering a sale this summer, the 21-year-old has made it clear that he is not planning to leave Catalonia. His representatives also shut down negotiations in August, confirming that Martín has no intention of moving abroad at this stage.
The timing makes a transfer even more unlikely. With Íñigo Martínez’s departure reducing defensive depth, coach Hansi Flick has already tested Martín as a central defender during pre-season. His versatility makes him a valuable squad option, especially with Alejandro Balde remaining the first-choice left-back and young Jofre Torrents still developing.
For now, Barcelona are counting on Gerard Martín to stay. Unless an offer arrives that is simply impossible to refuse, the player is expected to remain at the club at least until January 2026, when the next decision on his future will be made based on his minutes and role in the squad.
